The PEAS continued their recent good form in the league with a win at Celtic Park where Mayo side Castlebar Celtic hosted the Ladies today. Lauren Kelly opened the scoring for the Peas as Rachel Doyle hit a short corner kick to Roma McLaughlin and the play-maker curled in a viscous ball to the back post where Lauryn O Callaghan rose like a salmon at the back post before nodding the ball down into the path of Kelly who made no mistake inside the six yard box. The ladies increased their lead ten minutes before the break as Roma McLaughlin collected the ball just inside the Castlebar half and she took a few strides before unleashing a right foot rocket from twenty five yards out which nestled in the top corner of the Mayo club's net. 
Castlebar tried to stop the attacking of the Peas but nine minutes into the second half the ladies struck again, this time it was Captain Clare Kinsella as she confidently rounded the keeper before firing into an empty net after some great midfield play. Kinsella grabbed her second of the match and the Peas fourth soon after as Roma McLaughlin broke down the right side before pulling the ball back for Sarah McKevitt to shoot towards goal and Kinsella reacted quickest when turning on the ball and firing a right foot shot into the bottom corner. Peamount continued to play good football and got their fifth when Clare Kinsella crossed from the right side for Sarah McKevitt to head home at the back post. Fifteen minutes before this tie ended the Peas grabbed their sixth and final goal of the game when Lauryn O Callaghan sent Roma McLaughlin forward with a lovely pass and McLaughlin crossed for McKevitt to get her second of the match with a great finish from close range. The ladies have now picked up six points from to away games scoring seven goals and also keeping two clean sheets, next up is a home game so confidence will be high.‪#‎SUPPORTTHEPEAS‬ !!
